Park Bench PBP11

Park Bench Sentinel Peak Park pattern is a top that has a very simple shape, is strong and also sophisticated. Front and back center openings are cut at an angle and stitched only at the shoulders. These openings have a wide overlap that allows movement without gaping. This blouse can be made with a soft, drapey fabric or a fabric with a heavier weight for a more controlled look. I made this top in a solid, washed rayon using a contrasting print fabric for the facing. I also made matching print pants from my Central Park Pattern #8. It makes a wonderful outfit. Use 2, 3, or 4 different fabrics for a variety and fun. Try using a different fabric for each garment half. Use facings as a design detail. Buttons can be added, if you like. Decorative trim adds a nice touch. Stitch the opening closed, if desired. Lengthen, if you wish.
