Park Bench PBP9

Park Bench Old Santa Fe Park pattern is a great top! It is large, long and roomy across the chest and very simple to make. My favorite is made out of white cotton gauze with matching pants made from my Central Park Pattern #08. This makes a wonderful summer top. It's also nice when made with a cotton T-shirt knit, stripes or prints. or you can use any fluid, easy moving fabric. For winter wear I recommend a light wool. Try cutting it up the middle and making it into a jacket. The front could be appliqued, quilted, painted or embellished. Cover the armhole seam with decorative trim such as a contrasting bias strip, ribbon or braid. Mixing and matching fabrics can add a lot of interest. The front is a nice shape for a quilted piece, applique or painting.
